The new restaurant changes are almost ready and we can't wait to invite you to experience them for yourselves. April 2013 will see the opening of two new restaurants, The Estate Grill and The Tudor Room at Great Fosters, beginning an exciting new culinary chapter at the hotel.

The Estate Grill, a contemporary restaurant opening on Saturday 6th April, is a reflection of Great Fosters' commitment to providing locally sourced, more ingredient-led food whilst being surrounded by the best of British art.

This honest, fresh and simpler style of cooking particularly complements the opening art exhibition by Jeremy Houghton, one of the official London 2012 Olympic artists who brings together the relationship between man and nature through his inspirational artwork.

Celebrate the opening with us during April and receive a glass of Champagne with our compliments when ordering two or more courses when you quote Design Restaurants.

Set in the lavishly decorated dining room, the Tudor Room at Great Fosters will be an altogether more sophisticated experience. A seventeenth century tapestry will dominate the silk-lined walls of this intimate 24 cover restaurant.

Head Chef, Shane Hughes aims to place Great Fosters firmly on the map with the UK's other top restaurants. His menu reveals his passion for simple cookery with intense flavours and his vision to provide a progressively modern style of cooking rising from classical beginnings.

Open Tuesday to Friday for lunch and Tuesday to Saturday for dinner, the Tudor Room at Great Fosters opens its doors on Saturday 6th April.

Simon Bolsover (right) joined the hotel in 2008 and is looking forward to this new culinary journey at Great Fosters. He will be heading up the kitchen for The Estate Grill and is keen for it to reflect his commitment to providing a simpler more ingredient-led style of cooking. His dishes, many of which will be cooked on a Josper grill, will also make use of the produce picked from the kitchen garden and greenhouses wherever possible. A new addition to the hotel, Shane Hughes (left) has been appointed as Head Chef of the Tudor Restaurant at Great Fosters.
